Multigrain Powder

This drink is quite common in most of the Tamil homes(south India).

We call it “Sathu Maavu Kanji” literally can be translated to “Healthy powder porridge”.

How to cook it?

For a glass of drink :

Step 1: Take a half glass of water in a bowl and boil it.

Step 2: While it boils, Take another half glass of water(in room temperature), add 3 tbsp of health powder and mix it thoroughly.

Step 3: When water starts to boil add the above mix and stir it nicely for 4–5mins(without allowing to form lumps).

Do not forget to add sugar to the drink.

You can add 1/4th portion of milk to the drink before serving.You can serve this as drink to the children before breakfast.

Vegans can add soy milk.

Always serve hot or warm.

Note:

This health drink is for children above 1 year and adults.

What the powder constitutes?

Pearl millet, Green gram, Finger millet, Roasted gram

Foxtail millet, Barley, Soya bean, Ground nut

Wheat, Amaranth, Maize, Almonds

Cashew nuts, Cardamom, Sago, Dry ginger powder
